No wonder Filipinos end up having such UNIQUE names.I was in National City the other day and ate at Goldilocks. There were some very interestingly named items on the menu.

Cornedbeefsilog ??? I mean Longsilog (Long = Longganisa = Filipino sausage; si = siganaang? = garlic fried rice; and log = itlog = eggs) is a very delicious dish, but Cornedbeefsilog? try a little harder/put a bit of creativity into the name...







Calimango Juice?? (Calimansi and Mango juice)

OK I couldn't figure out a better name for Cornedbeefsilog but Calimango? My vote goes to MangoMansi, thank you very much. Then you could call it M&M juice. Heyyyy!

Driving Adventures

Why is driving in San Diego always such an adventure? Why do I always seem to find bad drivers, no matter where I go? Why can people not park the giganto cars they buy?! If you're old, a squinty asian, a woman or any combination of the three...STAY OFF THE ROAD AND OUT OF MY WAY...Thank You...or I will be throwing pennies at you from my car.

the white one on the left was there first; Thao and Ace parked next to the white one in the middle; then the black on one the right was found parked next to Thao and Ace when Thao and Ace were done shopping...Jeeps stick together! awesome

Unique Activities

When driving in my Jeep, I can usually found doing something that people may find odd. Many of my friends have picked up on some of my weird driving habits. I will address one of those today. The Jeep Wave. The Jeep Wave is an activity between Jeep Wrangler owners. When you see another Wrangler on the road, you wave. Simple. It's not that I actually know all of them, it's code, it's what we do. -this has been today's agenda-

Eating Adventures

Apollonia

Thao and I were hungry one day and decided to try a new place; Apollonia Greek Bistro in the Costa Verde shopping plaza, La Jolla. For how many years that Thao has lived in SD (La Jolla), she has not eaten here. (Thao was never that big of a fan of Greek food). To our surprise it was a very good find/eating adventure. (Thao is now a fan). Whats not to like; great Greek food, the BEST atmosphere of any Greek place I've ever been to, and it's not expensive. A gyro sandwich here is the same price as those other Greek restaurants. (better quality + better atmosphere + same price = no brainer). This is my new favorite Greek place.

Comic Con: Awesomeness Edition

This is just some awesome stuff that I saw at Comic Con 2009.

Firl needs to come back to San Diego...

...and pick up her trash. I saw these sparkler remnants of Firl's trip to SD on the street next to the apt as I was getting out of my car. She needs to come down and pick up her trash and while she's at it spend some time with us. (I can't wait 'til she visits again)

Sightseeing!!!

Today was good day for cars. On the way to the apt to go to the beach with Tam I saw a New Ferrari California, NICE. On the way to my bank from the apt I saw not 1 but 2, 2! black MB E63 AMG both within a block of each other, VERY NICE. I couldn't help but think of Red at this point. (He really likes these) Oddly enough they were both turning left. Hmm!? Then on the way home I saw a very nicely painted candy orange Boxter S, not amazing but definitely not bad. Today WAS a good day for cars.

Lunch with Thao

I've had lunch with my bestie Thao many times before, but this is the first time since beginning Nursing school that I had lunch with her on a Monday. It was a bit of an odd feeling. Having so much time to do so much other stuff is the ONLY reason why online classes are tolerable. *I must have lunch with friends more often.*
